WOW. I love Brad Mehldau that much more because of this… Whats so amazing is that he makes the piano sound like a synthesizer. I like that Brad has transcended the idea of Jazz and brought it to younger generations. I got to meet and speak to Brad once at Birdland in New York CIty and the things he told me blew my mind. What an incredible man!

#2 Song of the Day: My Favorite Things- Brad Mehldau. The reason why i chose this song is because its an modern version of a timeless classic. Brad Mehldau is truly a jazz musician for today’s generation. I was lucky enough to speak to him and i asked him, “What do you listen to nowadays?” I was surprised to hear that Alice in Chains, the 90’s rock/metal group, was on his list. Mehldau has done covers of Radiohead tunes, Oasis, and the Beatles. As a pianist, he was a great inspiration. And he was even very friendly.
