Song of the Day #87: Love’s Theme by Barry White- Played by Marrina
Everyone knows Barry White with his signature deep voice and musical sound. Much of his music was said to be “Love making” music. Although, I wouldn’t say that now, maybe in the 70’s. Here is a great version of Love’s theme, which is an all instrumental song with strings and 70’s wah-wah guitar. If you want to hear the actual song, click here.
It’s funny because this is one of the few orchestral pieces that ever made it to number 1 on the Billboard charts. Even more, this is said to be one of the defining songs that gave disco it’s distinct sound. Marinna does a great job with this by adding in her own classical style to the piece. She is clearly very talented.
