I just arrived in Philadelphia today and I met up with my friend Matteo Jones-Scammel who goes to the University of the Arts. We were able to get a practice room in one of the buildings and we had a little jam session.
Unfortunately, the camera moved while we were playing, so the shot is imbalanced. But its about the sound, not the visuals…

Hey, met you in NOLA this weekend with the group of guys from AL. Just wanted to let you know you’re totally achieving your goal of inspiring people to get out and do what they’ve always wanted to. I’ve been contemplating on some different colleges and have always felt like the West Coast is where I want to be but have been discouraged by so many people around me because it’s so far and completely foreign to me and they encourage me to stay close to home. I’ve always known I wanted to break free from here and do something different but your Piano Across America adventure was what settled it for me. Even if I don’t make it to the West Coast I’m definitely going to a brand new place to find my own adventure. Thanks for the inspiration. If you make it to Cali or Washington and meet some cool college kids maybe you could ask them about their schools and send me some feedback? Anyways, thanks again. I’ve been telling your story here. Best wishes for the rest of your travels.
